Happy New Year! 2014 was a good year and 2015 looks promising. So, to kick off the new year, I have decided to make a few changes. First, this website has been upgraded from a subdomain of Weebly to a unique domain. All old links will automatically be redirected so not to worry about that. But please note that the new site address is www.bricecjones.com. Links will now appear more tidy. Second, the site itself has received a "face lift." I have changed the theme of the website to make it more reader friendly. Please note that you can now subscribe to the blog. Just scroll down below the blog roll on the right hand side, and enter your email address in the FeedBurner box. The header image on the home page is a composite of manuscripts that I have either edited or am in the process of editing. Third, and more importantly, I have created the first Facebook page (in English) devoted to the study of papyrology. I was actually surprised to learn that such a page did not exist! I have titled it "Papyrology and Early Christianity" and would encourage my readers to like it. I will post there far more regularly (daily?) than here. I will post images of manuscripts, links to publications, webpages, announce news as it comes to me, and so on. I envision this to be a one-stop all kind of place for news related to papyrology. The Facebook icon in the top right of this page links directly to the Facebook page. Finally, I need your help. This website, and particularly the blog, has a large international readership and blog posts get circulated widely. Recently, several major media outlets have linked to this blog in featured columns. So, I want to continue providing good content for my readers, but I would like to get an idea of who is actually reading the blog. In particular, I am wondering how to "pitch" my posts. Some of my blogging has been very technical, containing academic jargon. Other times, I have pulled back and attempted to make the posts more appealing to the non-specialist. Sometimes the academic jargon cannot be avoided, depending on the topic. In any case, I would like to ask readers to take five seconds to complete the following poll below, as this will help me gauge my readership. Thanks a lot!
