![]() Attention all Mac users: Jean-Luc Fournet and Ralph Hancock have developed Greek and Coptic keyboards to be used with the IFAO fonts. I have been using these keyboards for several weeks now and they are lovely. For all editors of papyri, these keyboards are a must, since they have so many technical symbols and signs built right into the keyboard, making editing much less of a hassle. Here is the announcement followed by a link with instructions for downloading and installing the keyboards. Many thanks to Fournet and Hancock for making these excellent keyboards available to us! "Jean-Luc Fournet et Ralph Hancock mettent à la disposition des utilisateurs Mac de la police IFAO-grec unicode de nouveaux claviers : un clavier pour le grec, un autre pour le copte. Ces claviers permettent de saisir de nombreux sigles papyrologiques et diacritiques éditoriaux sans avoir à passer par le visualisateur de caractères. Les accents et esprits suivent le système de GreekKeys (alt+ touche adéquate avant la lettre). The keyboards are available here.
Update: Ralph Hancock has mentioned in the comments to this post that a Windows version of the these keyboards have been completed and will soon be made available at the same link above. This is good new on all fronts.

These keyboards were only for Mac. I've just finished the Windows ones and sent them off to Jean-Luc Fournet. I think their eventual home will be on the same web page as the IFAO-Grec Unicode font:

Apologies for the delay in the publication of the full set of Greek and Coptic keyboards for papyrologists. Now that there are eight keyboards and two fonts, Jean-Luc Fournet rightly felt that a separate web page was necessary for the whole set to avoid confusion. You can get them from Your comment will be posted after it is approved.
